Golf Skins Games

Skins games are played on a hole by hole basis. Each hole is assigned a value before the round starts. These games are great for high to mid handicap golfers who can shoot a few good holes here and there and not have to worry about those snowmen (8's) that always seem to show up by the end of the round.

Skins

The Skins Game is played where each hole is worth a certain amount, set prior to the round, and the winner, or golfer with the lowest score for that hole, takes the purse for the hole. A good game where there are 18 chances to win. Holes that are not won by a single golfer can either have the pot be carried over to the next hole or declared a push.

Alternate Shot

This game is played with two golfers per team. Each team plays only one ball, and shots are alternated between the team members. The team with the best score on each hole wins.

Scramble or Best Ball

The scramble is played with either 2 or 4 golfer teams. Every player hits a tee shot, then the best tee shot per team is used as the location for the rest of that team's second shot. The best shot is chosen again and all team members hit from this spot. Repeat the process until someone sinks it in the hole. The team that wins the hole, wins the skin. This is a great game for shooting low scores, as the location of the best ball is used after every shot.

Three Club Skins

Played the same as Skins except each golfer can only play with a putter and 3 other clubs of their choice. Makes for some pretty entertaining golf!
