Golf Games and Side Bets

The best part about playing golf with your buddies is not just beating them, but taking their money too. Here's a few fun golf games to keep your foursome entertained while you drain their wallets. When money is involded, to keep the games fair, we suggest using some form of a handicap system.

Skins Games

Skins games are played on a hole by hole basis. Each hole is assigned a value before the round starts. These games are great for high to mid handicap golfers who can shoot a few good holes here and there and not have to worry about those snowmen (8's) that always seem to show up by the end of the round.

Match Play Games

Match Play games are those which are staged as head to head competition. These games can be for two people, or two teams. In Match Play, each hole is more important than the sum of all holes. These are great games for thos of you who don't want to risk losing everything because of a bad hole or two.

Side Bets

Side bets, or junk, can really make for some entertaining golf. How much the junk is worth should be set before the round commences and should be kept to a small amount as it can really add up depending on how much junk you allow for.
